A man caught in an Internet sting last year admitted Thursday he solicited sex online from a minor — actually a cop posing as a teen.
Michael Chad Zarling, 32, of Rochester, pleaded guilty in Ramsey County District Court to one count of using the Internet to solicit sex from a child, a felony.
According to the criminal complaint: As part of the sting, police from the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force posed as minors to investigate online sex predators. 3, Zarling used his home computer to engage in a chat-room conversation with a police officer pretending to be a teenage girl.
He said he was 25 and asked her to tell him about her genitalia.
