I like the forums part of the site for chat purposes. Some i have got to know well not only through the forums but emails also..... You shoulden't be knocking it before you have even given it a fair chance.... And you find out what people think and a great deal about them from their comments on different topics. Nothing wrong with a good meat market, but clearly the poster of this is looking for something more. Or look at Yahoo, where online personals have increased the company's revenues despite a decline in income from advertising. When you think about how inefficient and circuitous the traditional delivery system for meeting potential lovers is, it's not hard to see how we landed here.By that I mean, there are so many pics that once you have seen one it feels like you have seen them all. As for the text portion of the profiles, pish tosh. I never bother with the profiles myself i like to get to know people in the forums.... Uhhm, forgive me for being a meaty carnivore if you would be so kind. Just an opinion, but I would suggest we do not endear ourselves to many if we paint them with broad, negative strokes consumed by stereotype. You can't even remotely get a feel for a persons true personality and temperment based on a 'resume'. Beleive it or not some of us can actually get to know people preety well through mere words on a screen....... You're not going to get an honest assessment of someone from just their pic or their profile anyway. I've met lots of cool people in here and made alot of new friends. I'm not painting anyone with negative strokes consumed by stereotype. The problem with this number is I am not sure if this refers to all dating sites found online or just the ones from the top ten list.

Furthermore, imagine if it were considered rude to bring up the Cuisinart straight off the bat -- instead, you were expected to ask people about themselves, maybe buy them a drink, and feign interest in their rambling, self-involved banter, until finally, at the end of the night, loosened up by a few drinks, you could say what had been on your mind for hours: "Um. Now that love has finally been commodified and booty has an efficient distribution system, it makes sense that the branding strategies of those peddling their goods and services have become increasingly finessed.
I hope this doesn't sound too forward, but do you . Of course, it was only a matter of time before we gave up on classified ads and moved on to a more dynamic format.
He further expresses his point of view in this sentence: For a media company whose authors are suppose to leave their opinions at the door unless the topic calls for it, I wonder how this piece got past the editor's desk.
One interesting point in the article was the mention of dating sites generating 27.5 million unique visitors in June.
Basically the same thing as a pick up bar, but even worse.
