It got me thinking about one of my favorite vampire books to come out during the huge paranormal YA craze that happened after !

I also liked how their relationship wasn't perfect and when you thought it was going to work out, there was another twist. He was dark at times and other times he was very kind (in his own way). *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* My opinion on this book had been ping-ponging back and forth for quite a while. And I do mean, the LAST FEW PAGES where he abruptly comes to his senses.

I liked it, then I hated it, then I liked it (note: liked not loved) until FINALLY, Lucius did something irredeemable in my eyes. Surprisingly, Jessica still loves him through all of the crap he's put her through.

Thank you Lucius, I never would have come to a conclusion were it not for your douchebaggery. She likes his “dangerous side.” I like bad boy characters, I do, but they have to have some sort of NICE, redeeming quality.
