Founded in 2000 by relationship expert and evangelical Christian, Dr.
Neil Clark Warren (you may know him from the commercials), e Harmony is built on a scientific matching system that compares 29 dimensions of compatibility (the curious can find out what these 29 dimensions are in e Harmony's FAQ section).
Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate. Shit, now I'm just hoping the women I email can READ the emails if they aren't paid..... It's been my experience that everyone on Yahoo personals (in my area anyway) are completely clueless.
Well, after being signed up and then cancelling my unpaid memberships at about 5 or so other dating sites, I"ve found one with a sh*tload of women on it in my area active within 24 hours! You get to put your criteria at the bottom of the page, right, stuff like what types of people you want to date - age range, political views, etc. I guess they just look at the pictures and start writing.
I am a liberal who smokes and this week I am getting bombarded by conservatives who don't smoke.
I keep editing my profile and asking people who are not compatible with me to let me be - to no avail. I carefully look over that stuff myself and if the person is looking for someone younger, thinner, etc etc I don't bother them...the dudes that write me - I look at what THEY want and they WANT conservative non-smokers, but still the write me! It makes me wonder if Yahoo attracts the brain dead (or if brain dead is all that is available in MY particular area, LOL). Have met quite a few really nice guys on Yahoo Personals here in Charlotte, NC.
I have also found that generally, I can always reply.
Not quite sure why the change, used to be I couldn't write unless I was a paying member, now that I'm not a paying member, I can still reply, sometimes I can't reply....be the IT gods are smiling on me No it doesn't matter if you pay or not..can always write a reply to someone who contacts you first.
Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... a month, we'll see how it goes, and since everyone checks thier Yahoo email pretty often the chances of flaking out on emails are less. Lo L this one here is 100% free bud, on Yahoo they can read what ya sent them but they can't reply unless they pay also, so if you like em in your messages send em your e-mail alsoor better yet in your e-mails send em here they can then have it all for free.
To start off our search adventure, let’s look at some general search engines beyond the top three. Duck Duck Go prides themselves as being the search engine that does not track or personalize your searches and results.
They even offer handy visual guides on Google tracking and filter bubbling.
e Harmony states that they have over 5 million registered users, with between 10,000 and 15,000 new users signing up every day.
They offer a free personality profile for new users which shows you how others see you and highlights your relationship strengths and weaknesses.
It does seem to go in cycles though, sometimes I get nothing, other times, I can hardly keep up.
