Researching this post, I found much of the advice for military girlfriends discouraging. It made me think back to my days as a military girlfriend and how small the military community made me feel at times. I was a young professional with a career and my own money.
It hurt most at the time because my service member and I had been together for years. In the civilian community, people wouldn’t dream of constantly reminding you of “your place.”.
Honestly, when was the last time you saw a man or woman in military uniform with a beer belly?
Attraction is not much of an issue with our military members!
We fought about stupid things, things that didn't matter, but for some reason, neither of us were willing to let anything go.

His older sister pretty much made plans for him the entire time he was here so I couldnt see him that much.
He even went to Arizona for a weekend to visit family (he was recently stationed in Georgia and came back for a mth before he had to leave to Korea).
Of course, there are a few military girlfriends who give the title a bad name. They take advantage of service members and make poor choices.
