Specifically, it seems that some of you are wondering if it’s okay to date non-Christians. God’s Word urges us not to link our lives with non-believers, and the consequences of choosing to do otherwise can be disastrous.
But I know that you might not be willing to simply take my word on this one.
There is nothing in the bible that stops one human being from marring another.
Since an unbeliever doesn't believe in God, to him everything is an idol, including his relationship with you.( In these verses, the Apostle Paul compares believers with unbelievers in terms of light with darkness (verse 14), Christ with Belial (a references to Satan, verse 15), a believer with an unbeliever (verse 15), and a temple of God with a temple of idols (verse 16). Even though you may think you have a lot in common, the most important things you don't hold in common. The Bible, especially the New Testament, warns Christians to avoid idolatry.A few days have gone by since the excitement and my heart is torn, I feel guilty for even dating a man who doesn’t follow Jesus. The idea of my Christian friends ridiculing me for potentially marrying a no Christian and even worse the idea of disappointing God himself is bumming me out. It’s wrong to start pounding on someone just because you disapprove of something that they’ve said or done.
